Pennsylvania in August

One of the few drawbacks of moving back to Montana is the ridiculously high cost of plane tickets. Compared to Albuquerque, tickets can easily cost 5x – 10x more. I had been hoping my parents would be able to come to spend a few weeks in Kalispell during the summer but the cost of tickets at the height of tourist season didn’t make sense financially. Since I am no longer working and Rost currently qualifies to fly Infant in Arms, it made sense for him and me to head back to Pennsylvania for a few weeks. So the kiddo and I packed a few bags and hopped a few flights across the country.

We were met at the airport by my Seester and her kiddos.

After a few hours of sleep, Rost and I were on the move. We spent the first few days visiting lots and lots of dearly missed family.

I try to carve special time out for each of my nieces and nephews during every trip. This visit was no exception. A day for each of them was done, getting to do what each of them requested. I love these visits and hope we can continue to do them long past their childhoods.

I got to celebrate turning another year older on this trip as well. It was celebrated in true Holly fashion by trying out a new bucket list item. My momma watched Rost while I drove into Pittsburgh to track down a restaurant-quality beef wellington. It was well worth the wait.

I am SO, so grateful for all the love and attention my friends and family back east shower on Rost (and I) during each and every visit. I really hope we can make this an annual tradition.
