I had just enough time to do some laundry when I returned to Ohio before we packed the Jeep back up and headed south. This time both my Seester & Karley were also packed into the Jeep with me as well.
My niece has never seen the ocean before, so our first stop was straight to the beach to get our toes in the sand and spent as much time there as the weather would allow on our short trip.
During the frequent periods of rain we headed off to see the rest of the sights of the area including the Blue Angels, Fort Pensacola, & more!
Hi Holly,Love that you got some family fun time at the beach. Pensacola is a cool place. Many years ago I traveled with our state’s aerospace group and toured the naval training facility there. We got to see the dunker in use….how scary yet quite a learning experience for survival training if plane ditches in water. The fort was a neat place to visit as well. Had no time on the beach for we were there on a weekend and flew back in a C130 which we went there in too. Quite an experience too as we took turns going on the flight deck to see the crew flying. It was an experience we teachers could share with our students. Such memories. Thanks for sharing and glad it was so renewing and relaxing. Donna
